We travel not to escape life. But for life not to escape us - Unknown
Hello again my avid readers, before we jump into what happened today I just want to thank you all for the overwhelming number of good responses I have had about starting to post again. I have gained many followers over the short time I have been overseas and I am overjoyed to see that people are enjoying my content. I would also like to apologize in advance for the very picture heavy post today. So without further ado lets see me show you some of the awesome things I saw around Vietnam today.
So since I am on holidays it is a rare thing that I wake up in time for breakfast. But today was one of those rare days. Another rare thing is eating cereal. But I couldn't resist the sweet chocolaty siren call of the coco pops. But just to balance it out I also had this plate full of fruit.
After breakfast me and my lovely grandmother (Betty) went and got our nails done. It was a first time for her, but I had had mine done a couple of times before. I find that getting a pedicure requires a lot of self restraint because I have the most ticklish feet. Trying not to kick anyone in the face takes a lot of concentration. So take that as a fair warning, if you tickle me. I will flail and I am not responsible for any injuries I may cause.
After a relaxing morning with a little bit on pampering it was time to get some more food in my seemingly forever empty stomach.
Now I would just like to stop the story here for a minute and I comment that not am I only always hungry, but I am also thirsty whenever I am not drinking. Since the water here is only drinkable for locals this has lead to many empty bottles. I would like to take this moment to apologize to the environment for all the plastic.
After lunch we set out into the big bad world. We, as always, saw some very interesting things.
So here is a collaboration of all of my favorite photos of the day.
Now the walk apart from the excess heat, that was obviously expected, went without incident unlike yesterday. So we all made it back home without any near death experiences or chunks taken out of our arms. After being out in the heat for so long we all went for a dip in the hotel pool, which was much needed. We also each (except dad) drunk a cocktail in the pool and pretended we were adult and sophisticated.
After dinner the day ended with us yet again exhausted and ready for bed. We played a card game, which none of us could remember the rules to. So it turned out pretty funny and interesting. We were all to tired to care in the end and we threw in the cards and fell into another nights sleep.
Thank you all again for reading I am really enjoying sharing this journey with you all. I will be back again with a bit of a different post (not about my holiday) So I hope you come back to check that out.
See you all again soon. Much love x
