September Reflections & October Aspirations







I swear I blinked and September was gone. It's honestly scary how fast my year is flying by. So now for a little September reflection. 
At the beginning of the month I delved into an exciting new chapter in my life; University! Although it has been a crazy blur of stress and adjustment, I hope I have (finally) found my happy balance between school, work and everything else. 



As for other things in September, there was not much else. Just a lot of ups and downs and trying to get my life together. However a very important topic that has come to light for me in September is self love. I am not going to talk much on this topic (Not in this post as least) but I will say that I am getting pretty hooked. To be honest it was something I had never really considered important before. Just assuming that "Of course I love myself". But since researching it my eyes have been opened to a lot of self destructive behaviours I have been indulging in for so long, that have prevented me from being happy with myself. 
So here is to September, a month of new things, challenges and self improvement. 







As for October; of course no one really knows what will happen, but here are some "goals" and things I hope for:

1. I want to get good grades at school. This is part of the reason I ended up going part time. I felt like I was spreading myself to thin. Although I could "pass" (maybe), I don't want to study just to pass. Hopefully one day I will be a fully fledged health professional. So I want to study for the day I need to save someones life, so I have the proper knowledge, not just because I want my degree. 

2. I want to love myself. Now this includes continuing with my new found self love journey, but also ensuring I feed myself well, nourish my body and exercise on the regular. 

3. Go on a Picnic. I think spring is the best time to picnic and in Australia Spirng has Sprung!!! I wouldn't be taking full advantage of Spring if I didn't have at least one picnic. 

4. Reduce my waste I have been hoping to transition eventually into a "zero waste" lifestyle, but I still have a long way to go! So better get a move on!

5. Reconnect with my Grandma If you have been on this blog for ages (before when I was Yasminesbeautylife) you would remember her from the travel blogs! We normally talk all the time, but I have been busy and put it off! No more excuses! 

5. Learn how to meditate! This is well known as a cure for.... pretty much everything! I want to see if it can help me stay on top of my life. Something I want to try and hope I fall in love with!

6. Visit the beach I grew up right on the beach and I haven't been back in ages. I miss it so much! It's getting warmer so it's time for a visit to the shore! 



As a little bit of an end note to this post I wanted to say a few little things. Since my Note to the reader Blog I have been feeling a lot better about posting, I am creating content that I love, some will be like my old stuff, but I just want this blog is reflect all of me and I feel like it's starting too. I have a lot of "muchness" that I want to share with you all! 
Hopefully I can keep up posts like this in the future. It's a good, fun way to reflect and set myself up for a great start to a fresh new month, I hope you guys had an awesome September! Hope to hear from you in October.
